Let There Be Change

         New Year’s Day is the first day of the year in the Gregorian calendar. New Year has also become an occasion for spirited celebration and the making of personal resolutions. New Year happens during the first day of the year, every January 1. It is also our tradition to celebrate this. Some says that it is very important to celebrate this in order for us to have good blessings for the coming year. 

For me, New Year symbolizes new things. And these new things include our hope, love and others. Also, it includes new habits in our lives. Despite all the problems of the year 2013, we should forget all those bad things and try to do good things in this coming year. New Year, New Me? Is it really true? Maybe, yes but not all the times. It’s true in some instances like I should change all my bad habits I do. And also, I should be good on my doings and be more careful in doing my jobs. I will do my responsibilities as a human being in order for me to become a good citizen in our locality.

I knew that all of us have our New Year resolutions.  Even I have my own resolutions. These resolutions are useless for me if we only say these without even doing it. But it is good if we say this then does it afterwards. We were not perfect but I knew that in the eyes of God, we are all perfect. And I still believe in the saying, do your best and God will do the rest.

I will do my best in order to do all my New Year resolutions. I believe that God will always guide and help me every time I do my own decisions. I also knew that my family especially my parents are always there for me. I am hoping that this year 2014 will be the best year in my life.

Reminisce Those Lessons

Again, the third grading will end. Two days before the periodical test before this grading period will end. I am quite nervous on this test. I am not ready yet. By the way, let me mention about our lesson ICT.

All about our teacher in ICT, she did not change. She was still very kind, intelligent etc.  For me, she performs very well. She teaches us patiently and intelligently even on this grading period she was very busy. But, there are still lessons that I can’t understand well. But, as I read my notes, I understand it. This grading has a lot to do. We find new lessons again.

One grading left, “fourth grading period”. I don’t still want to end this school year. I just don’t want to say goodbye to this subject. Why? Because I really enjoyed doing and having this kind of subject.

Delights Of December

Christmas is a period of sharing things with those you love. Some of us or even most of us share gifts, foods and other important things that come from our heart. It is common to see people sharing Christmas gifts or Christmas cards and this Christmas cards are filled with love and happiness.

      This is the most important thing that we should portray on this Christmas. This is sharing our time with our loved ones at home. Sharing our time makes our family/relatives happy and grateful. The true essence of Christmas is by sharing, showing love, and because of this, we could build new relationships from other people around us. Christmas is part of our tradition. We should give importance to it. Having this kind of special occasion is really good. We could learn many things if we celebrate this.

Despite all the problems of the year 2013, we should say hello to 2014 a big big hello. Christmas is really significant in our daily lives. Without this, our life is not complete. The true essence of Christmas for me are loving, caring one another. Having this kind of tradition is very great. Our year is not complete without the celebration of Christmas. It makes our hearts delight.

Let's Do Our Job: Let's Save Mother Earth

Many scientists think that pollution is changing Earth’s climate. And yes, this is true. The change is coming from gases in the air called greenhouse gases. Carbon dioxide and other gases trap heat from the Sun. They trap heat the way glass walls and ceilings in greenhouses trap heat. It stays warm inside a greenhouse even when it is cold outside.

Greenhouse gases in the air make our mother earth to be warm enough for us to live. We, human beings are putting too much carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases into the air. These gases came from the smoke and different chemicals coming from factories and burning gasoline in cars. This can cause the earth warmer and warmer that can cause climate change. And this global warming is very dangerous to the earth and most especially to us, human beings.

There were lot of chemicals that are very dangerous. They could even cause climate change. These were very rigid according to scientists. Climate change is upon us. Can you notice, there are a lot of calamities that is happening in our world now? Super typhoons that can cause floods, tsunamis, tornados and other calamities even natural or manmade. We are part of these calamities. Scientists are looking for fuels to replace coal and oil. They are looking for ways to use the power in wind and in rays from the Sun. They are also looking for safe ways to get rid of nuclear waste.

We could help even in our simple ways. We could lessen the use of hazardous chemicals, plant trees that could prevent floods or lessen the use of kaingin system or the burning of the forest and deforestation. We should helped mother earth to survived this calamities.

:) Equalities between humans (:

         Equal rights, equal opportunities. All of us have our own opportunities and equal rights. Nowadays, there are lots of Republic Acts that are related to human rights. The government signed this kind of Republic Acts so that, we could know our rights as a person and as a living.

          Even the children have their own rights. We have equal rights and equal opportunities. Even the smallest people in the whole world have their own rights. If you’re rich or poor, big or small. We have equal rights. These cannot be depending on our physical appearance. It depends on our rights itself. Her right, their right, your right. These are all equal. Law is always a law. We can never change that. Also, we should love one another.

          Opportunity means a chance. We have equal chances, equal opportunities. And all of us commit mistakes and choices in life. We were very lucky to have our own opportunity and rights. God made us equally. We must give importance to them. Equal rights and equal opportunities. We must give importance to this kind of equality. These includes on how we respect people just the way they are. We are all human beings, we are all equal.

          Even if we are different or have differences, there are still similarities on us. It’s just like our rights and opportunities.

  

English is Fun

Again, here comes the English month celebration. The theme of today's celebration was "Going Global through the English Language."

We all know that our universal language is English. All of the other countries could speak on this language. We could understand one another if we use this. And also, most of us could understand this kind of language. The English language plays a vital role in our daily lives. It is very important in communicating one another. Not only that but also we could express our feelings clearly. “Going Global through the English Language” for me is that global means the whole globe or even the entire universe.

The English language serves as our protection against illiterateness. This will serve as our guide when we go to other countries. It’s because most of our fellow Filipinos are going to the different countries to get or find a job there. For example, they want to go to Korea; they do not need to learn how to speak Korean language. They should speak the English language in order for them to communicate well.

Let’s talk about the English month celebration. It has been started. There are lots of activities on this month; we really enjoyed joining the past activities. I wished that we should join all the activities of the English club.

   Again, this was the end of the second grading period. I am happy but slightly sad. I am happy because finally we finished the second grading. Last two grading left. I am sad because this was the last second grading period in my high school life. Also, this was the last journey in my high school life. But I think that this was only the beginning of my journey in this world.

Let's talk about the second grading period. The lessons were very great. Examples are all about the tags. We can edit text in the notepad or in the simple text. This was a fun activity for me. Sometimes it was very hard on how to use the break rule and the horizontal rule. But as the days passed, I can now understand the use of these different tags.
